Airdeny Chalets Conditions of Let

The person whose name appears on the Booking Form agrees to take full responsibility for ensuring that all the following Conditions of Let are adhered to by all members of the party.  When you confirm your booking by the payment of a deposit you are entering into a contract between you, the visitor and Airdeny Chalets.
Please read the following conditions of let carefully.  If you are uncertain about any point please ask for an explanation.

  1. The letting period normally runs from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure. This may be varied by prior arrangement.  It would be appreciated if you would please phone if your arrival time is after 8pm.

  2.  Cancellation Policy: Up to 30 days before the arrival date, no charges. All Chalets cancelled 29 days or less before the arrival date will be charged at 100% of the cancelled reservation value. No shows will be charged at 100% of the cancelled reservation value.

  3. The full rent should be received by us no later than four weeks prior to your arrival.  If a booking is made less than 4 weeks before the start of the holiday the full rent is due at the time of booking. Failure to comply with this will result in forfeit of the reservation.  If Guests choose to submit Charge Card details with the booking they thereby authorise the Owners to debit the amount 4 weeks before the start date of the booked period.  Reminders are not sent.

  4. When you submit an online booking you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you have provided in the booking form.  This does not form  a contract between us.  A contract will only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing by Airdeny Chalets via a letter of confirmation sent by email. Bookings from under persons under 18 years cannot be accepted.

  5. Only the number of people on the booking form may occupy the booked accommodation. Sub-letting or assignation of the Let is prohibited.

  6. If for any reason the accommodation is not available to you on the dates booked due to events beyond our control, we shall take steps to find you similar alternative accommodation. If suitable accommodation is not available, then all sums paid by you will be refunded and we shall have no further liability to you or any other party.

  7. The chalet should be kept clean and in good condition and any breakages reported immediately. If the chalet requires excessive cleaning after you leave, an extra charge up to £200 may be made and we reserve the right to debit your credit/debit card for this. The named person confirming the booking takes responsibility for acquainting themselves on arrival with all fire prevention and emergency procedures, and for minimising the fire risk throughout their stay, as required by the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005. We have to charge you in full for any damage you are responsible for. Damage that is only discovered by us after departure must be assessed as deliberate property damage and we must proceed accordingly.

  8. Your personal property is not the responsibility of Airdeny Chalets. Vehicles and personal property are left at your own risk. The Owners shall not be held responsible or liable for any accident, loss or mishap to persons or property whilst on or using the premises, or for any illness or injury arising from any cause whatsoever.

  9. You may bring dogs by arrangement (£2.50 per dog and night). Pets should bring their own bedding, must be house-trained, are not allowed on furniture and beds and should never be left unattended in or near the chalets. Out of doors, dogs should be kept under control and fouling should be cleared up.

  10. Guests are asked to abide by our No Smoking policy and not to smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes, etc. anywhere within the chalet, and to ensure that any cigarette butts or other waste are removed and do not litter the area around the chalets.

  11. There are two BBQs on site. It is not allowed to have a BBQ on the terrace of the chalets or anywhere else except of the two BBQ areas. If you wish to use one please let us know. You will get the metal base and grid.

  12. Guests are asked to leave leave general household rubbish in the grey bin by the front gate; the blue bin is for recycling. Littering around the property is strictly forbidden.

  13. WiFi broadband cannot be guaranteed, even if booked, and Airdeny Chalets cannot be held liable for any consequences from a lack of WiFi or broadband connection.

  14. Owners or their agents will be allowed reasonable access to the property at all times.

  15. We reserve the right to refuse to hand over the accommodation to anyone who, in our opinion, is not suitable to take charge of the property – in any such case all moneys will be refunded and the Contract terminated without further liability. We also reserve the right to terminate the Contract at any time or remove any person or persons due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to property or causing or likely to cause annoyance or offence to other guests. In such a case any refund would be entirely at our discretion.

  16. The properties let as Airdeny Chalets are to be used for the purposes of a holiday let to which Section12 (2) and paragraph 8 of Schedule 4 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 apply. The booking agreement confers a right to occupy the accommodation for the agreed period only.
